We are proud of our Ofsted report!

I am very happy to share the result of our recent Ofsted inspection, which took place in February. The inspectors said that St Anthony’s is continuing to give children a 'good' education. This is wonderful news and something we can all be proud of!

The report says that our school is:

A warm, friendly and welcoming place.

A school where children feel safe, happy and part of a community.

A place where children behave well and work hard.

A school that teaches reading well and helps children love books.

A place where children enjoy clubs, trips, sports and special days.

A school that works closely with families and cares about attendance.

The inspectors also praised the way we teach and support all our children, including those who have special needs or are new to the country.

Of course, there are always ways we can improve. The inspectors asked us to make sure we quickly notice and correct any mistakes children make in their learning, and that all tasks help children reach their learning goals. We are already working on this.

I want to say a big thank you to you—our families—for all your support. Thank you for helping us make St Anthony’s such a wonderful place to learn. I am also very proud of our staff, children, governors and everyone in the St Oscar Romero Catholic Academy Trust who supports our school.
