At St. Anthony’s Catholic Primary School, we are committed to supporting all children in achieving their full potential. We provide an inclusive and nurturing environment, ensuring that every child feels valued and supported in their journey of learning, growth, and faith.
Our Approach to SEND Support
We follow a Graduated Approach to identify and meet the needs of children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND). This ensures that children receive tailored support at the right time, whether through high quality teaching, targeted interventions, or more specialised services.
Our approach includes:
• Early Identification: Using observation and assessment to recognize needs promptly.
• Targeted Support: Developing targeted plans to outline specific strategies.
• Collaboration: Working with parents, carers, and external professionals to create a robust support network for every child.
Early Help Offer
At St. Anthony’s, we work in partnership with families to provide an Early Help Offer for children who may need additional support. Early Help aims to provide assistance as soon as concerns arise, reducing the need for more intensive interventions later.
Support includes:
• Access to pastoral care.
• Links to external services like speech and language therapists or educational psychologists.
• Assistance with family support networks.
For more information, please contact our SENCO.
